Disney-o-rama!

We met Snow White's stepmother, and when I said, "It's nice to meet you." she replied "The pleasure is all yours!"
Bob was super patient to stand in line with this crew.
Talmage had a blast spritzing everyone.

Splash mountain was Atticus' favorite ride- he even talked Moma D. into riding it. Not many kids can say they've ridden a roller coaster with their great grandmother!

This was the slowest and HOTTEST boat ride in history.
The teacups. my favorite. Junie's favorite too. I think for me it is more about the color than the ride itself.

Junie met Mary Poppins. Mary was very polite. She was talking with Junie, and someone tried to get an autograph in the middle of their conversation. Mary said, "I'm talking with my friend Juniper, so I'll be with you in a minute!"

The giant turkey leg dinner!

Poor Mr. Simeon. He was such a trooper. I don't recommend taking a nursing baby to Disneyland in the middle of the scorching hot summer.

Moma D. Was a great sport too. It was SUCH a long day.
This was the tram ride back to the car. Look at cute chipper Gram Tam, and poor wrecked Bob!

The car ride home was AWESOME. Everyone fell asleep as soon as they were strapped!

Disneyland! (July 2011)

When we learned that our family reunion was going to be in California, we decided to make the kids a deal. If they could perform 300 acts of kindness, we would take them to Disneyland. They started out slowly, but as our deadline approached it was AWESOME to see them cramming in little kind acts at every turn. We put beans in a jar for every act, and they earned the last few just before we left on our trip. We spent one day there and just skimmed the surface, but we all had a great time. Moma D, Gram Tam, and Grandpa Bob came with us, and I don't know how we would have managed without them. Thanks to Moma D's foresight, we rented a wheelchair which granted us backdoor access to almost every ride- saving us hours. It was sweltering hot and really fun.

Baptism and Blessing Buddies

On the second of July my boys shared a momentous occasion. Sim was blessed and Attman was baptized. Atticus thought it would be great if he could share the day with Sim... he even loaned him the outfit that he wore when he was blessed. He's a great big bro. We felt supported by all sorts of friends and family that came from great distances to be there, and also those who came from right around the corner. Big thanks to the Williams family, and congrats to Asher who was baptized the same day. We shared an enormous luncheon with about 60 people at the church aferward, and it was a grand celebration indeed.

Mr. Sim

Who needs a water park??

Call me a chicken, but I didn't want to take five kids to the big water park by myself, so we made our own in the backyard. Three slides, the tramp, and the slip-n-slide. Not bad eh? I love that Indigo's swimming suit is on inside out. "SELF" she tells me repeatedly, "SELF!!" She's independent already.

Swimming Lessons

June and Att ended up in the same class this year, which I was worried about at first, but in the end I think they both worked harder than ever. Att didn't want to be outdone by his little sis, and June was trying to keep up with her big bro. I'm sure this is a pattern we'll see again. Everyone passed and will move up to the next level, so next year they could be in the same class again!
