Two Months Old

In these photos Sim is two months old. Everyone is pretty smitten. I spend my time trying to keep everyone from smothering him. :)

Junie's Dance Recital

Junie has been dancing with a little neighborhood group led by Megan Ventura, an extremely talented teenager in our ward. Her performance was delightful to watch, and I could not have been prouder. In between numbers they asked different family members to come up with acts for a talent show. Atticus did some karate and he and I also played a duet, but our Junie was the star of the show... for us anyhow!

Mr. T's Preschool Graduation

I love this group photo. A lineup of little people, and.... the incredible hulk. No wonder people think he's seven years old. He's a bit more "lengthy" than the others. Way to go kiddo!

The Graduates!

Do you have any idea how hard it is to get seven people to look at the camera at one time? Way more difficult than you can imagine. Even in this photo Sim managed to cover his face. You should see the massive gag reel from this session alone! We decided to have a photo shoot to commemorate Jor's graduation, especially since he missed the ceremony. Each kid got a turn to try on the gown so that we could document their part in the whole process. While Junie was trying on the robes Howard said, "Are you going to be a good lawyer when you grow up?" and Atticus interjected, "I'm not going to be a good lawyer, I'm going to HAVE a good lawyer." Well said. Big thanks to everyone who helped our family during this super long process. I think that GPA's should be weighted differently for those who have children. Sort of like ice skating or diving. More points should be awarded when the level of difficulty increases, right?? Way to go Jordicus! We're delighted to move on to the next phase... paying our massive student loans!

Defining Moments

Our Junie has been having some health problems for a while now, and in May everything sort of came to a climax. She had a fever of 104 for eight days and we couldn't identify the problem. They finally decided to admit her to the hospital to run some tests, which they thought would only take a couple of hours. We sent Jordan to the pediatric ward with her, and I stayed home with the rest of the kids and the new baby, figuring this way the baby wouldn't be exposed to the hospital germs. The tests took longer than expected and Jordan and Junie spent the night there. Under normal circumstances this would have been a minor adjustment, but it just so happened that the next morning was Jordan's graduation day. He missed his big moment. He could have been walking down the isle to receive his diploma for his Master's degree, but instead he spent the morning in the hospital with his little girl. The announcements were mailed, the gown was ready, and the babysitters were in place and we missed the whole thing. I was so conflicted and worried about it. We didn't want to leave June to go to the graduation, but I wanted Jor to have his moment of recognition as well. I was worried that he would be dissapointed, but Jordan didn't even give it a second thought. He knew where he wanted to be, and it was right next to Juniper. I know it sounds cheezy, but I couldn't be prouder. I'm so thankful to have married someone who has clearly defined priorities. Thanks for putting us at the top of your list Jor. Junie's fever eventually went away, but we're still waiting on test results from some of the procedures to make sure other symptoms are addressed. We love you Junie.
