Welcome back to 1985!

We threw a super fun surprise birthday bash for Shaina last week and took a trip back in time to party with our big ol' side pony tails. Everyone dressed up and it was hilarious. The scary part is, I actually remember making these fashion choices in junior high and thinking I was A-ok. My kids loved dressing up, and I was especially proud of Atticus' fashion choices. He made a make-shift fanny pack and tight rolled his pants, and sported that super awesome sweat band. Whenever the kids see someone dressed funny now they say "AHhhhh ha! That's so 80's!" In their minds 80's = hillarious. I can't say that I blame them. I made that rockin' boom box pinata, we had snow cones, hulla hoop races, and did a little bit of Jane Fonda's lean routine-- yes, I still have it on VHS. The same tape I did on a daily basis at Ricks College. Good times. I decided I needed a jean skirt for the party, so I ripped apart a pair of my jeans and constructed this one in less than an hour. I was going to cut it off really short, and then I liked it so much I wore it for "reals" the rest of the day. (try not to be embarrased for me.)
