Here's our custom pinata. I tried to get Atticus to smile, but I got a mouthfull of snickers bar instead.
The only gift Atticus wanted was a pile of books to read. I was happy to oblige. His favorite author currently is Roald Dahl.
For his birthday party Atticus decided that he wanted a 1980's theme... (which I found hilarious because of course he was not alive in 1980), but it was his party, and who am I to thwart this budding creative genius. We invited the guests to dress up and they did a great job of pegging their pants and sporting our ridiculous home-made bandannas. They showed off their killer dance moves as we blasted billboard hits from big hair bands, played all sorts of silly games, decorated a custom tablecloth, and broke a pinata I had painted to look like a boom box. Then we ate snow cones, and opened presents. When I asked Atticus about his favorite part of the party he said, "Wrestling on the tramp with my friends." Wait... um... that wasn't part of the party! Oh well. We had a great time Att. Thanks for being born!

Great 80's babes and hotties!!! This party looks soooo fun and creative. Having lived through the 80's, I would have really gotten into this kind of celebrating. I loved the boombox pinata and the great head bands!!! I bet each and every child had a blast. Gram Tam wishes whe would have been able to come and kick up her heels too.
