Happy Easter! (okay, so i'm a bit late...)

Every year instead of Easter baskets we decorate old grocery bags to leave out for the Easter bunny. It's economical, makes a fun project, and I don't have to find a place to store a pile of fragile baskets that will eventually end up in the land fill. But, this year we ran out of time, and we didn't get them done before the kids went to bed. In the middle of the night I woke up to feed the baby and decided to make the bags and lay them out for the kids. Great idea in theory, except that I fell asleep in the middle and only got half of them done. The kids woke up early and bolted out of bed to see their loot, only to find that the Easter bunny had forgotten them. Crestfallen they came trickling in to the couch where I, in a tired stupor, tried to understand what was going on. The bags lay on the floor around me, half finished, and I had to explain that the Easter bunny had indeed come, but I sent him away because the bags were not ready. Luckily the Easter bunny was just finishing up some business in the neighborhood and he said he would come back shortly. We madly finished the bags, laid them out, and sure enough, the Easter bunny came back and brought some really cool stuff. Fun treats, and a little tent for everyone. Crisis averted. The tents are magical. Later that day we had quiet time in them, and I had FIVE kids asleep in the middle of the day AT THE SAME TIME. Bless you Easter Bunny. Bless You.

What a fantastic Easter surprise. Individual tents to sleep and read in...... You guys really know how to have fun as a family. I absolutely love the grocery bag idea. I think it is so much easier to deal with than all of the Easter basket storage problem. I missed having the Easter egg hunt with some of the grand kiddles, but really enjoyed having little Elliot and Azure this year for the neighborhood hunt. My wish is to have all of the grand kiddles for an Easter surprise. I love you all, Gram Tam xoxoxoxoxo

How can the Huggins family score those magical nap tents? Our Easter Bunnies need to have a pow wow. Awesome job Louie!! Not to mention, I heart the brown bag idea.
