Happy Birthday Junie!

Please make note of the cake topper here... I spent more time building the castle out of paper than making the cake. I'm not sure what that says about me. Thanks to Cheree and her killer dairy free recipe, the cake was delicious despite my neglect.
This gift was a long time coming. When Junie was just an infant Jana found this barbie house for a screaming deal and sent it to us. It has been in storage for at least four years waiting or this day. The best part about it?? Because it was a second hand item, I didn't even have to put the whole thing together! WOOT!

I love this chalk drawing that juniper did of herself riding a horse. Supercool June!
Juniper turned six last week and we partied hard! For her birthday she wanted to have a little friend party. We invited 11 little girls over for snow cones, party games and a pinata hand-painted by the birthday girl. We decorated crowns and drew all over the driveway with chalk. After the whirlwind of gift opening madness was over it looked like the house had been ransacked. It was CRAZY but a lot of fun.

First of all, ONE day to go? Hope to be hearing from you in the next week :)

Second, could Juniper look any more like you?! :) The one with her hair all curly from the sponge curlers with bows makes me think I am looking at YOUR photo album. SO CUTE! I miss you! I'll be thinking of you this week.

Wowsers...Elicia...reading all this made me tired...and you're super prego...so I think that makes me a very lazy Mama. Looks like you're having a blast! Will you please call when you have that baby?? Maybe if you're lucky you'll get to share your birthday? Hmm?
